Psychologist Jessica Lieve works as a POH-GGZ in our practice. POH-GGZ stands for supporting staff for mental healthcare in the General Practice. The POH-GGZ works closely together with the GP when treating and guiding people with psychological and (psycho) social problems. The POH-GGZ is someone with extensive knowledge about, and experience in mental healthcare.
Why do we have a POH-GGZ in the practice?
With a POH-GGZ in the practice, we enable rapid and easily accessible care for people with psychological and (psycho) social problems to take place. You can easily get in contact with the POH-GGZ through your GP.
Because of the knowledge and experience in the field of psychological and (psycho) social care, the POH-GGZ can carefully assess your problems. In certain cases a short-term treatment of, of guidance with these problems can take place within the practice. In other cases, the POH-GGZ will assess how and where the problems can best be helped.
What can the POH-GGZ do for you?
In a first consultation, the POH-GGZ will, together with you, map your problems and questions. Subsequently, the POH-GGZ will advice you on a possible approach. The POH-GZZ can aid in this process by:
- Clarify problems.
- Give advice on treatments
- A short-term treatment within the practice
How can I make an appointment with the POH-GGZ?
You can discuss with the GP whether a conculstation with the POH-GGZ can be useful for you. If this is the case, the GP or assistanr will schedule an appointment for you with the POH-GGZ.
There are no additional costs related to a consultation with the POH-GGZ, and it will not effect your ‘own risk’.
Cancelling an appointment
We request you to only cancel an appointment if this is really necessary. If you are suddenly unable to come to the appointment, it is important to cancel the appointment 48 hours in advance. The time that is reserved for you can then still be used for someone else. If you fail to cancel the appointment 48 hours in advance, you will be charged €15,-.
